Full Course List

TRAC courses for farmers are relevant to improving your enterprise and designed to make the best use of your time.

There are a number of real benefits for both experienced and trainee farm staff alike and for farming families to learning something new. You can:

  • Boost your turnover with the latest techniques to increase livestock health, productivity and yield.

  • Save money and improve animal health by learning professional veterinary routines and first-aid know-how.

  • Reduce the cost of bought-in services (eg: vermin control)

  • Make spare cash by learning a new skill and selling the service when time is available.

  • Equip yourself with the information and skills to diversify profitably

  • Enhance health and safety on the farm

As well as the economic returns, there are other advantages to taking a day or two out to get a new skill, for example, sharing ideas, tips and experiences with others, and making new friends and business contacts. Some Government funding is available for certain courses.

Tutors
Animal care courses will always be supervised by a qualified veterinary surgeon, using additional specialised tutors where appropriate.
