For farmers, horse owners and people with an interest in county crafts

Welcome to TRAC – the training provider for rural vocational skills. Based in the historic market town of Hexham, our courses are run in and around the Tyne Valley and Hadrian's Wall in the beautiful county of Northumberland.

TRAC offers hands-on, practical courses designed to improve the productivity and profits of rural businesses, and to help spread knowledge of countryside crafts and animal welfare.

Our courses are geared to the needs of farmers, horse owners and people with an interest in the land and country crafts. We also welcome holiday visitors to the area on our short courses to make a holiday especially satisfying by acquiring a new skill to take home.

A member of the LANTRA professional register, TRAC is a family business run by former teacher, Hazel Scott, and large-animal vet Roger Scott , so students can expect high standards of course content and delivery. Training takes place in an informal and friendly atmosphere and in a relevant environment – often with spectacular views over a fine landscape.
